peace,
Following the difficulty of infinite regression (what is the reason for God), the correction you propose to the evidence is to convert the assumption that “everything has a cause” to “everything in our experience has a cause.”
Didn’t you add an assumption that there are things that are not in our experience?
(There is of course nothing wrong with that, because it needs to be examined in itself. But I would also like to know if I have indeed “exposed” another assumption)
Maybe I should go ahead and ask what this category of things that are not in our experience even is?
This seemingly sounds like a category created only for one person – God.

There is no such assumption here. I argue that things in our experience do not come into being on their own. Whether or not there are other things is an open question at this stage. The evidence is what proves that there must be something else, otherwise we fall into an infinite regress.
