On the ”strengthening the enemy” argument
Since 7.10
There seems to be an argument heard mainly from the right, against the actions of the other camp.
And it repeats itself:
“You are strengthening Sinwar.”
“This is exactly what Hamas wants.”
In the face of the demonstrations, in the face of pressure to release the hostages,
And a variety of other events.
On the one hand, I agree with the argument.
There is a war against an enemy,
A process that sides with/strengthens/aligns with the enemy –
In essence it is bad.
On the other hand,
I think this is a ridiculous argument.
1. Why is the fact that this or that move that seems right (for example: demonstrations) should take into account what the enemy thinks about it?
That’s right! For strategic/ideological/moral reasons (of course, assuming it’s true).
2. ”Strengthening the enemy.” This is a strategic claim.
The cabinet and the army are supposed to consider strategic considerations.
The public should not be privy to such details,
He shouldn’t consider such considerations.
He should hold on to what he holds.
Let his feelings and ideas be expressed.
3. The right-wing camp also supported the measures that Sinwar supported.
For example, releasing the hostages at the first stroke.
Is it a fact that Sinwar supported them?
Was it supposed to categorically prevent Israeli support?
What do you think about the original argument and/or what I raised against it?

Why stupid? The protesters' assumption is that there is no way the hostages will return alive without a deal, and the incident of the six murdered contributed to this theory, so it makes sense that they are pressuring the government to make a deal. What do I care what Sinwar concludes? The most that can be said is that if there is no deal and they come to rescue the hostages, they will be murdered, which is what happened even without the protests.
I explained this here in other questions. Without their pressure, they are trying to reach a deal by pressure. It is highly doubtful that Sinwar will agree. But their hysterical pressure ensures that he will not agree but will make more demands that we cannot meet and will murder more hostages to further disintegrate us. They are causing with their own hands everything that they (and all of us) want not to happen. This is stupid.
Just today it was reported that Hamas is considering murdering more hostages to pressure Israel. There is a high chance that the protests caused this.
A
Amazing, when they accuse the government of murder, they say that the one who is guilty of murder is the terrorist organization Hamas. But blaming the protests that caused it is no problem, and Hamas is a charitable organization.
What's amazing is how much bias distorts people's judgment. Kidnapping psychosis.
