Pants and a headband

Hello Rabbi
Why aren’t girls allowed to wear pants? It’s obviously very modest.
Also, a head covering, assuming that exposing the hair is not a modesty issue (otherwise, single women would also have to cover their hair), why is it forbidden to wear a headband?
