Because God is testing you…

שו"תBecause God is testing you…
שאל לפני 7 שנים

For he will arise among you, etc., and the sign or wonder comes, etc., you shall not listen to him, for God is testing you, etc., and that prophet or dreamer of that dream shall be put to death, etc.
I don't understand, it's about a person coming and doing a sign to prove the righteousness of his words against the words of the Torah, and here if the sign is a reason to be convinced, then the Torah's requirement not to believe will not benefit me – because here the sign has arrived and in my opinion it is a reason to be convinced, and if the sign is not a reason to be convinced, there is no trial here at all. And so the intention of the Torah is that even though the sign seems convincing enough to you to abandon the faith or the commandment you have in the Torah 27, you must remain faithful to the Torah and say 'because God is testing you' against intellectual reasonableness.
So what could be the test from now on to test the truth of the Torah, since in every interpretation it is said that the Creator intentionally created such a contradiction in order to put you to the test if you 'still cling' to the 'truth'?
And with that we have solved all the problems: an ancient world with fossils and tools and ancient cultures and events – a presentation by God to test us, biblical descriptions that do not align with the visible facts – intentionally, a rabbit and a hare that do not chew the cud – to mislead and test us whether we will shut up our minds or not.

It is not about testing faith, but rather about testing a prophet within the framework of faith. The question is not whether there are prophets or not. The Torah says there are. The question is whether this particular prophet is a true prophet or not. If he is a false prophet, all the signs and wonders will not help him because the Torah (which we assumed was true and tested for itself) says that he is a liar. It is clear that there is no meaning to the requirement of a system not to test itself.
