Prayer for a miracle
peace. I read what I wrote in the trilogy about the prohibition of praying today because every prayer is essentially a miracle. And you explain that once upon a time they prayed either because they didn't know reality and then it was really forbidden, or because once upon a time not everything was deterministic (but that's a stretch).
Two notes:
A. Maybe it is forbidden to pray for a miracle, because it is forbidden to ask God to change His policy. And if so, once they thought that the policy was that there were no fixed rules, then that is why it was also permissible to pray for a miracle (even though it really is a miracle). And then maybe that is why it is also answered more. Since today we know that it is a prayer for a miracle, then it is forbidden. That is, the difference in knowledge of the laws affects the halakha. Is it permissible to pray that perhaps it also affects the answer itself (different from what you wrote that once the reality was different, in the second explanation)
on. In your analysis of the book, it turns out that the Ze'als were wrong in their scientific perception, and in light of the statement that it is forbidden to pray about a miracle, it is found that it is forbidden to pray today. I ask, perhaps their halakhic statement stemmed from the same error. In other words, if they were alive today and understood that everything is a miracle, then they would allow praying.
I hope I explained myself. I would be happy to receive your feedback. And thank you very much for the important books.
