Teri Durbanan
Last Shabbat, the air conditioner was on. I was cold and it was hard to fall asleep. I pulled out the cord with my teeth, from Teri Darbanan in place of sorrow. One of the members of the yeshiva commented and told me: "The whole permission is only in place of great sorrow and in your case it is not considered as such." I would like to know what the rabbi thinks on the subject?

In my personal opinion, this is not a rabbinical change but a change in the Torah (see the column on the work of a builder). But of course, according to most poskim, it is.
Only you can assess your need.
