Giving a Lulav
Shalom Rabbi, happy holidays,
In recent years, there has been an organization that sells d-species and the money goes to charity.
My question is, is this correct from a halachic perspective? Does this also fulfill the commandments of charity? (We wonder if it is possible to buy from tithes.)
And is it morally correct to mix the two commandments?
In short, I'm interested in your opinion on this.
thanks

Absolutely. I myself try to buy from them every year. I didn't understand what the problem is that you see in the fact that some of the money will go to charity?
There is perhaps a place to deduct it from the tithe, although it is not appropriate. Their whole idea is that the cost of the spices is not more expensive with them. They simply reduce the cost of the service and organization, and therefore the charity is mainly from them and less from you. You spent on the spices as you would have spent without them. But I assume you have a mitzvah, because you could have bought them there.
