Distinguishing between true faith and faith arising from psychological reasons

Hello, Your Honor,

How can one distinguish between a true feeling of connection to the Creator, and a false, illusory feeling that stems from the environment in which I grew up and psychological conditioning? It seems to be a closed circle that the human consciousness cannot escape from. Millions of Christians feel that they are talking to God and that there is a connection between them and God, but it is illusory. How do I know that my own feeling is not illusory? With all the psychology and science of today.
If you could take the time to answer this question, I would be very grateful.
