Shavuot Night Repair

שו"תShavuot Night Repair
שאל לפני 7 חודשים

In recent years, I have been accustomed to doing the correction on Shavuot night. After I was exposed to the rabbi, I began to reflect on it. (The rabbi said that because Shavuot was the day of the giving of the Torah, in memory of this, all of Israel used to gather in synagogues all night and recite the Torah.)
I have two questions:
A. In the Rabbi's view, is there any special value in studying on this day more than on other days? It is difficult to stay up all night and it is not something I do on other days.
on. Even if we stay, is there any value in actually studying the Tikun? No one wants to read 200 pages of Zohar and not understand anything. Is it better to study Gemara and at least understand and progress in the material?
I believe the Rabbi has already touched on this but I can't find it right now… Thank you very much.

A. It's a custom like any other. You don't have to go crazy to keep it, but that's how they used to do it. on. It is clear that there is no value in saying the correction. It is a complete abrogation of the Torah. It is better to sleep.
