Day of Judgment
Question
Hello Rabbi Michi,
I’m interested in what the Rabbi thinks about the novel idea of the Tola’at Yaakov that Shavuot is the Day of Judgment for the Torah?
Answer
I have no information on the subject. By the way, I assume he doesn’t either.
Discussion on Answer
I have no idea (I have no information about that either). If they received a tradition from Sinai, fine; and if not—then I am likewise puzzled by their words. See here:

Did the Sages have information that this is the Day of Judgment for the fruits of the tree (and likewise the other times when the world is judged)? In other words, is it possible to “grasp” such a thing by reasoning, or do we have no way of knowing what the Holy One, blessed be He, does except through prophecy alone? And if so, then the Sages also invented New Year dates that they had no way of knowing existed?
