Question
I am a student in a yeshiva, and because of that I’m surrounded only by Jewish-religious writings. I’m interested in exploring and thinking in additional directions as well. What philosophical thought can you recommend that was not written by a religious Jew? Any direction you give would be good. I myself don’t know much about other approaches, because I don’t encounter them in the environment I live in. I still don’t have a command of all the philosophical terms, so it would be better if it’s a work written in clear language.

You could pick up some logic book, or Richard Taylor’s Metaphysics. Bergmann’s introduction to epistemology. Steinitz’s books are a nice introduction, although they do contain mistakes.
If you could give me the name of a book that offers an interesting perspective on reality, so I’d have somewhere to start from, thanks!
