Q&A: Infinity, a Philosophical Fallacy?
Infinity, a Philosophical Fallacy?
Question
As is well known, infinity (or by its grandiose name, infinite regress) is a fallacy in philosophy. Your claim in many places is to prove by way of negation that something created the world, because the first option is a fallacy. Now then, if we assume that that same something is also infinite, we have returned once again to an infinite regress.
Michi has the solution, thank you.
Answer
A winning combination of emphatic and inarticulate ignorance. Infinity is not a fallacy, but rather a limit of certain sequences. The fallacy is when there is infinite regress. Therefore, when one argues that that something is infinite, no difficulty arises at all. Moreover, I also never claimed that that something is infinite.
Luckily for you, or unfortunately for you, my policy is not to delete posts, even if they are stupid and arrogantly baseless, unless it is trolling or there are very strong reasons. So this will remain here as a disgrace.

He was only asking a question arrogantly and ignorantly. True.
That wasn’t nice of you, Rabbi. He was only asking a question.
