Q&A: What Causes This Conclusion?
What Causes This Conclusion?
Question
Many Haredi, religious, and traditional people become Bibi-ists, may it not be said of us; they are not repulsed by corruption and become filled with baseless hatred toward other parts of the Jewish people.
While other parts of the Jewish people are apparently less sick with Bibi-ism and these other spiritual diseases.
Does religion make people stupid and bad?
Or is it simply that fresh stupid and bad people are drawn to / remain in religion?
Answer
This is not a matter of one side being more or less stupid. On both sides there are very stupid fools, and in many cases it is the bias that makes them stupid. The fools are also the ones who lead the camps, unfortunately. By the way, on the anti-Bibi side, in my personal assessment, the stupidity and bias are even greater. We have entered a struggle in which substantive arguments and relevant considerations play no role; the facts are distorted and subordinated to the agenda, and it is impossible to conduct a substantive discussion. That is the main problem.
Discussion on Answer
A combination of lack of trust in the press and in the legal system, which leads to the conclusion that there is no corruption. Everything is stitched up. Along with a willingness to pay the price of corruption for the sake of the policy they want and Bibi's abilities. And perhaps also a sense of threat from the other side, which puts people on the defensive for their camp at any cost.
