Promises in the Torah

שו"תPromises in the Torah
שאל לפני 8 חודשים

Hello Rabbi,
Doesn't the fact that there are promises in the Torah, such as the promise of the Land of Israel to the Israelites, contradict the Rabbi's view that God does not intervene in our world (apparently)? After all, if He does not intervene, then why would He make promises? Where does He come from? And how can He be the guarantor of this? After all, it is our choices that make a difference…
Thank you very much.

It is possible that the promises will be fulfilled by us. If we obey the Torah, we will return to Israel and collect postcards. It is possible that at these points God will intervene. I keep saying that I cannot rule out His sporadic involvement in the world.
