A soul-testing experience?
peace,
I wanted to know what you think –
I think the very experience proves soul. The fact that we experience reality proves that we have a soul.
1. I do not accept the claim that a sense of experience is evolutionarily important. A robot with the same traits that I have, including the fact that it thinks it has awareness and experience (but does not) would make it just as much of a relic.
2. No matter how much science advances, I don't see how they can explain how molecules and atoms create a machine that also has an experience (and not just a sense of experience).
3. Does not accept that experience is an illusion – I know what I experience when I see the color red. No one can tell me otherwise.

- Evolution has no bearing on this in any way. If you see experience as something spiritual then it indicates the existence of a soul even if it is evolutionarily necessary. The claim that experience is not necessary to survive is correct, and I have already argued it here several times. It originates from a Christian philosopher.
- Neither do I. But just because there is no explanation doesn't mean the phenomenon isn't true.
- Whose illusion?
