Hello, I was wondering what your position would be regarding emotionally based claims such as: "We should accept the Sudanese and Eritreans with open arms and even grant them citizenship because we too suffered as a people in the Holocaust, etc. Is there a place for such claims (even if they are true)?"

I do not see these claims as claims on the merits. If they must be accepted, they must be accepted even without the background of the Holocaust. The background to these claims is presented only to say that in our case, one would expect greater sensitivity and fewer failures in this matter (on a psychological level). But the very claim that this is how it should be done has no meaning.
