Bar Mitzvah boy
Hello Rabbi,
I started teaching a secular boy his Bar Mitzvah (part one of Vaicha) and the family wanted to have the event at the Western Wall on Thursday and invite the entire extended family. I now found out that his Hebrew date would be on Friday, but it would be a problem to tell the family to move the time and place of the event.
From a halachic perspective, is it possible for a boy to go to the Torah the day before he is a Bar Mitzvah? What about the blessings of the Torah, and "Blessed is He who exempts me from the punishment of this one."?
