Hello. The difficult feelings are a matter for the psychologist, not me. From a religious perspective, if you didn't have a relationship, then you overcame your urge and you should be happy about that. Furthermore, the feelings you describe themselves indicate that you repented, and that is part of the answer. I do not believe in ordering the processes of repentance (except for the psychological aspect), and I do not deal with it. The repentance that is done for every sin consists of four stages: leaving the sin, regret, acceptance of not doing it in the future, and all of this being expressed verbally (confession).
