Lack of supervision

From what I understand, you don't believe in private providence in our time (not ruling out exceptional cases, but you get the idea). In addition, you also claim not to know whether there is an afterlife, or what happens there. So, what's the deal with your belief?
You don't participate in most of the religious beliefs of Judaism, are quite skeptical, and don't support mysticism (at least from what I understand so far). So, what's the deal with your faith? Why aren't you simply a deist? What are your reasons for keeping the commandments, if you think God no longer intervenes and there may be no afterlife at all? I hope I'm understood.

No, you are misunderstood. Why is belief in all these dubious things related to religion and halachic commitment? Or, in short: What's the deal with your belief? There is also the option of keeping the mitzvot because you have to and because it is the right thing to do. You probably haven't thought about that, next to all the wrong reasons to keep the mitzvot that seem obvious to you. But look how lucky you are. To get up to speed, all you have to do is open Rambam at Hal' Teshuvah, Chapter 10, of course only if you happen to believe what is written in Rambam. Good luck.
