Questions about the physico-theological view
Greetings to the esteemed Rabbi,
The physico-theological view in the context of evolution:
1. The Rabbi believes that reason requires that there must be a Creator after seeing complexity and design. If this is indeed the case, how can one explain, in an engineering-design sense, defects found in organisms (I did not see an explanation in "The First Manifestation"), as opposed to the claim that "there is a perfect being" (God) who has the ability to create nature that will lead to impressive results?
Here are examples of problems only in the human body:

If there is an attempt at an explanation in "God plays dice" – I would be happy.
2. In "The First Commandment" on page 268, the Rabbi believes that the laws of nature were programmed to reach the current state within 14 billion years, so this is very impressive, and if it had taken longer, it would have been even more impressive.
It doesn't work out that well for me in my thinking.
A. Since when is a long time to reach a goal evidence of good planning?
If there are two engineers who reach the exact same result, wouldn't we argue that the engineer who did it faster is also the one with better quality?
*The rabbi cannot claim that 14 billion years is the minimum time to reach the goal because he has no evidence for this.
on. From God's perspective (or one who examines the physico-theological view) – if man is the pinnacle of the purpose of all creation, why did nature have to be designed so that a huge number of species would become extinct (for example, the dinosaurs or the ancient ancestors of the whale)? Wasn't it right to design nature to act ad hoc (for the current situation)?
Does the Rabbi know a quality programmer who writes so much unnecessary code that he reaches the desired goal?

- There are two explanatory arguments: A. Even a defective watch requires an explanation (if the watchmaker's head is different from mine, it does not mean that there is no watchmaker) B. God created us through the laws of evolution, and this mechanism includes flaws. It was impossible to achieve the same results in a more complete way (i.e. there is no world with rigid natural laws that lead to the results that the current laws bring but without the flaws).
- I am not comparing systems of laws that take different timescales, but rather between a one-time creation and a creation based on long-term laws. When there is a special system of laws and only after 14 billion years do you see its purpose, it means that its designer had a long-term vision and a very impressive ability to realize the vision. Regarding the question of why it had to be done this way – see section 1.
