First, I am different. If I see statistical evidence of providence, I will appreciate it. For example, if there is a study that unequivocally shows better healing for those who are prayed for.
Second, I do not argue in the name of science. Even if my argument is not scientific, it seems logical to me and as such I accept it. Belief in God is also an irrefutable thesis and I accept it. In contrast, Hom's argument seeks to convince religious people that they are wrong about statistical tools, and in my opinion it has no persuasive power.
