revolt

שו"תrevolt
שאל לפני 3 שנים

Good morning,
I am one of the people who is anxious about the fate of this country and participates in the demonstrations.
I hear calls for rebellion and the like if the reform passes, and apparently the calls are problematic because any group that is not getting something right can call for rebellion.
On the other hand, there is something truly problematic and destructive here (in my opinion) on a scale greater than any event we have known to date in the country.
The question is how to deal with this situation?
Is it morally okay not to pay taxes/block roads/more serious things in this situation (for example, Uncle Enoch was arrested yesterday)?
Or is it morally wrong (because anyone can claim that what they are protesting about is in their own soul, see the Haredim entry), but there is no choice?
Or does the moment there is no choice, does that actually mean it is moral?

The question is not defined, and in fact does not exist. If it is important enough to you to endanger the country, then do it. It is your value consideration. For example, a person who believes that the current situation is leading to the elimination of democracy can certainly take even more serious steps than you have described here. It all depends on the question of what is expected and what are the risks of what you are doing. Of course, anyone can claim anything. The question is whether it's true or not, whether you can move your lips and make claims.
