In the ultra-Orthodox world, there is a group of smart people who are connected to modern values ​​and have the same duality that you mentioned, but most modern ultra-Orthodox, called ultra-Orthodox lite, are modern to please the appetite and not to anger, that is, they went to work not because of ideology but in spite of the ultra-Orthodox ideology, they did not think about whether it was right or not, but chose the easy way out, and with them the duality comes for various reasons, they feel that they chose the modern side because of their weakness. Therefore, it will be more difficult for you to create a third, high-quality identity with them too, they are scoundrels and not scholars of Torah, and as you mentioned, it is more difficult to work with them.
Of course, I think it's legitimate and appropriate for the sector to go out to work, but it didn't come to them for the right reasons, and therefore even in the Haredi sector they aren't taken seriously.
And by the way, the claim that the Haredi public survives because of people like you, among other things, is a very strong claim. I really don't understand how they've ignored it until now.

It's not clear which column you're referring to. In the future, it's better to post this as a talkback to that column. You are absolutely right, and Tehila Gadu already stated this in her article. But I think some of those moderns who are hungry for food are actually moderns who are angry for food, except that they don't have the conceptual framework that would allow them to understand this. For them, there is no non-Haredi option, and they reluctantly perceive themselves as Haredi lite. Therefore, there is a chance for change in this group as well.
