The categorical imperative
I received the following question:
Regarding Kant's categorical imperative
Let's grind it out without limit. The difficulty I understand here is what will force me to listen to a strange order that my actions have no effect.
So if they make excuses that God enacted the decree, then that's fine.
But in principle, it can be understood more simply as everyone understands that they are obligated to a society without which they would not be alive.
So it's up to the company to impose such an order on him because the only way things will change is this way.
I suppose I'm not telling the Rabbi anything, I'm just asking if what I'm saying is true.
