The meaning of man

Hello Rabbi. I read an article by Rabbi Sharki in which he made an argument regarding the meaning of man, and I wanted to ask what you think about it.
Rabbi Sharki writes in his book Holiness and Nature in the article The Purpose of Life:
"Our very wonder about the world forces us to seek purpose for our lives. Therefore, the view that there is no meaning for man is not rejected for philosophical reasons, but rather from a basic human feeling that without meaning, life would be unbearable."
