VAT number on Eddy card
Regarding the halachic question regarding signing an 'Edi' card, is it possible to offer the following explanation:
A. There is a halakhic prohibition against committing suicide. on. It is permissible halakhically – or from the perspective of 'offense for its own sake' – to commit suicide in order to save other people (Roi Klein). And by analogy to this: A. Let's assume that there is a prohibition on taking organs when there is brain death (because halakhic death is cardiac), and in any case, taking organs on the part of the person is an act of suicide (and on the part of the doctor it is murder). on. However, it is acceptable to argue that since this action saves many people, then I am 'giving up my life' and 'committing suicide' for it.
Is this analogy justified on the part of the person who wishes to sign 'Adi'? Two suggestions for dividing the cases: A. The halachic or meta-halachic justifications in A. are only about an event that is happening now. Only then is there an 'offense per se,' but a decision to sign 'Adi' now even though the event will be in the future, for that now there is no justification. Etc. B. There is no difference, but in A. the person makes a decision about himself, and for that there is justification. But in B. in the end we deprive him of his limbs, and we cannot do that (even though he clearly expressed his consent). Etc.
