What did Moses receive during the forty days?
In your last lesson in dogmatics, you discussed the question at length: After all, Moses received the Torah over a period of 40 days, and simply means the five books of the Torah (at least four), and if so, how is this possible? Did Moses learn that he was going to strike the rock?! Did he teach the Israelites that they were going to sin?! Unlikely.
But I didn't understand the question: Simply put, Moses studied the various laws for forty days – that is, the commandments and the transgressions – and he passed them on to the Israelites. Where does the assumption come from that he learned the stories of the Pentateuch?! I didn't understand. I don't think there is such an approach. That is, even without your explanation, it is clear that he learned the commandments, while the Pentateuch itself may have been written along the events. Isn't that the simple explanation?
