Writing the Oral Torah
1. How do you understand the reason for the prohibition against writing a Toshavah? (It doesn't matter if it's Torah or Rabbinic)?
2. What was the concern that justified writing at the time when they decided there was no choice but to write? Apparently, no extraordinary event occurred during the time of Rabbi Yehuda the President or after him.
3. Why is it now permissible to write an oath even though the above concern has been removed?
4. What would Judaism look like today if the Talmud had not been written (there was no canonical text with normative authority) assuming we did not have a Sanhedrin?:

- The common argument is that writing fixes the issue, and we really see it with our own eyes.
