Artist at Hanukkah

An interesting question that I've been thinking about and I'd love to know the Rabbi's opinion.
Regarding the need for an artist after the blessings recited over the menorah.
Apparently, the public in many places customarily responds after the blessing of the benefactor with the melody A-A-Man.
Is there a problem with this because the artist is a ketupah [according to the edited(?) method]??
