Difference between Judaism and other religions

Hello. In the past, I believed that the Mount Sinai stand was a place of revelation of God to the eyes of all the people, but the more I delved into the matter, the more I realized that even from the verses in the Torah it does not mean that way, and that only Moses heard His word. Here, for example: It is written, 'Face to face, etc.'" and a verse later, " I stand between the Lord and your children to tell you the word of the Lord." From the descriptions in the Bible, it means that Moses convinces the people that the Lord is speaking to them. So also in the parsha of Jethro: 'Speak to us, and we will listen, but let not God speak to us, lest we die.' At the time of the Ten Commandments, this is what the Torah means: the Lord spoke through Moses and not by voice.
Furthermore, the description of the Mount Sinai situation seems to be quite accurate. A terrible volcanic eruption, but not as something supernatural. It is also known that this area of Jabal Musa has remnants of volcanic activity.
What prevents us from actually saying that the people and Moses were mistaken about natural phenomena? How does the Bible imply that they experienced a revelation? I suppose that I too, if I were not familiar with technology, might think that the gods reveal themselves to me from stones (telephones) or from boxes (projectors, for example)
thanks

First of all, why do you accept the description in the Torah? Because of tradition. So tradition says that there was a revelation. Beyond that, Chazal already divides that we heard the first two commandments from God, the Holy One, and the rest through Moses. The Torah itself says that the people asked Moses that God, the Holy One, would speak to us through him. You also decided that Mount Sinai is Jabal Musa. And on what basis? The description is also not an accurate description of a volcanic eruption. The resemblance is far from complete. So your speculation is also no more well-founded. And finally, in my first book, I explained that from a priori considerations I assume that a revelation is expected, and therefore in my view this tradition is reasonable and the burden of proof is on those who reject it. I didn't understand what technology you're talking about? Do you think they didn't know about volcano technology?
