Peace and blessings.
At our place of work, they didn't sell chametz, but it turns out that there was a religious employee who did sell it for the company but didn't ask permission.
Does that make sense?

Who owns the chametz? A sale without the owner's permission does not apply. And even if it is a right, it is a right from a person and not to a person, and simply it does not apply.
