New Testament
Hello Rabbi,
Following on from the question you asked here. I wanted to know in what cases it is permissible to read the New Testament. You wrote that it would be fine for those who are undecided about Christianity and those who are learning history from it.
I have no qualms about Christianity, and I am interested in the period historically, but I don't really want to read the New Testament to properly study history, but mainly out of curiosity and affection for the period (I equally like reading Josephus), and along the way I also learn about Christianity, which is interesting. Is there a permit for that?
