On holding on to your opinions during matchmaking
I am a national religious guy from a Torah background and I studied your teachings for a period of time. I read your selected books and for a long time I have held many of your opinions and in general my outlook is very different from the accepted view from where I studied and grew up, etc. I go out on dates and it really bothers me, because the topics occupy me and I like to talk about them sometimes on dates with smart girls. But most of the time this is seen as a gap that I cannot bridge, and it prevents me from making progress with more Torah religious girls, because with those for whom religion is less important, I usually don't get along with them socially, and they also have innocent faith and my opinions are unusual for them or are of no interest to them. What can you advise me? Should I simply hide my opinions? Does holding on to these opinions force me to live in seconds? thanks
