From what I understand, nowadays there are more women who refuse to accept a get than men who refuse to give one.
My question is both on the current legal/judicial level and on the halakhic level:
What would happen if the man threw a valid get to the woman?
In other words, why don’t men who aren’t concerned about the ban of Rabbeinu Gershom do this; and is it even forbidden at all?
