Kuzari
Question
Dear Rabbi, hello,
Is there value in studying The Guide for the Perplexed, Kuzari, Beliefs and Opinions, and the like—and if so, in what sense?
I’m asking because I once started learning Kuzari and it was very boring, and after some time I even lost the book. Since I believe in divine providence, maybe that was saying something?
Thank you.
Answer
Leaving divine providence aside, say the blessing for the good and beneficent over that loss. Especially if it bores you, then there is no reason at all to engage with it.
I elaborated on this in several places (especially in the second book of the trilogy) on this matter.
I want to buy the book, but until then, any tip on the subject?
