Q&A: The Blessing "Who Creates Many Living Beings"
The Blessing "Who Creates Many Living Beings"
Question
Hello Rabbi,
For some time I’ve been unsure about the blessing "Who Creates Many Living Beings." Basically, I drink throughout the entire day, and whenever I finish something over which the blessing "that all came to be by His word" is recited, it’s with the intention that soon after I’ll eat/drink again. Can I recite "Who Creates Many Living Beings" only at the end of the day when I go to sleep, or do I need to say it each and every time?
Thank you very much.
Answer
If you do not mentally disengage from the blessing, then yes. But usually that is not the case. Or if the drink you are having can be defined as a single serving—for example, if you drink one bottle over the course of the day.
