Hello Rabbi,
In one of Leibowitz’s recordings (in the talks on The Guide for the Perplexed), he is asked whether prophecy is based on reason. He answers there that prophecy is not based on reason alone, but on the rule of the intellect over the imaginative faculty (of course, following Maimonides’ view). In your opinion, is this similar to the intuitions you speak about, through which human beings can discover things about reality and on the basis of which they carry out analytic reasoning?
