I don’t understand the cynicism, forgive me Rabbi, this is a serious discussion among later authorities about to what extent a custom can override Jewish law. See Maharik, responsum 9, and others; and many disagreed with him.

The question asked here is not serious. One can discuss whether a custom overrides Jewish law and other such issues. But to throw a general, undefined question out into the void is not serious.
