Buying furniture that might arrive during Hol HaMoed
Question
We want to buy new furniture for the house.
It may arrive during Hol HaMoed. Of course we would order it beforehand, but the delivery time is 14 business days.
Is there any problem with that, or is this not something to worry about?
Answer
It isn’t in your hands. If it arrives, it arrives.
Discussion on Answer
It’s up to 14 days. Beyond that, the arrival itself is not a prohibition. In my opinion there’s no problem.
Thank you for the response,
but just to clarify my question a bit better:
according to the delivery time, it will probably arrive during Hol HaMoed, because 14 days from tomorrow is Hol HaMoed.
Is it problematic that I’m aiming for such a time?
(Of course I have no problem if it arrives earlier as well.)
