Prayer without intention
Hello Rabbi Michael.
Which parts of the prayer are not obligatory and can I read and study other books in them? It is very easy to lose yourself in prayer, especially in the repetition of the Shachat.

Most of the verses of Zimra, the recitation of the Shatz. When there are piyyutim – then of course. Between the elders and the elders in the reading of the Torah (and perhaps through discussion it can be shown that even within it, etc.).
