Why does the expression, “who brought you out of the land of Egypt,” recur so often in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh)? Why not just say, “I am the Lord,” and leave it at that?

There is an obligation to remember the Exodus from Egypt; it is one of the remembrances. Presumably this was meant to tell us that God is also involved in the world and governs it, and did not only create it. And accordingly, it requires further thought what this means for our own day (in my view, He is by now almost no longer involved. But it is important to remember that He was involved).
