Question

As part of the program “Special Interview,” Amit Segal was asked whether he had desecrated the Sabbath because of his work as a journalist. He said that there was one time, and it was on 10/7/2023, when his father called him and told him that he was allowed to drive to the studio, etc. Does the Rabbi think this falls under the category of saving a life, such that it was permissible for Amit to desecrate the Sabbath?
