Values
Question
Hello
I heard in various podcasts that you do not define the state or the family as a value in itself.
If the state is not a value, why did the Holy One, blessed be He, choose דווקא this place for Israel?
If family is not a value, why is it not good for man to be alone? And what about the commandment to be fruitful and multiply that is attached to that?
Thank you very much
Answer
First, the place is not a state but a land. Second, even if He had chosen a state, that would mean there is halakhic value in it. I was speaking about a moral value.
