Judaism and Jewish Law
Question
If Judaism is only Jewish law, then almost all of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh), large parts of the Talmud, the midrashim, the Zohar, the Kuzari, The Guide for the Perplexed, the Maharal, the Ari, Rabbi Kook, and so on — none of these belong to the Jewish bookshelf. Isn’t it a bit strange to say that?
Answer
I’ve discussed these matters at length in many places. Search for “Torah in the person and in the object” and especially in the second book of my trilogy.
