Resurrection of the Dead, a Thought-Provoking Question…
Question
Hello Rabbi, I was asked an interesting question. I found it thought-provoking, and I was curious what you would answer to it…
Suppose tomorrow there is resurrection of the dead (leave aside whether that is really what will happen, or whether it is consistent or logical), all the Patriarchs, the kings, the early and later prophets, and the rest of the Jews throughout history are alive and walking around the country. Who would you go meet first? (Just as an anecdote, Rabbi Lichtenstein would first go to Nachmanides, according to the testimony of one of his students.)
Answer
They asked me this even without resurrection of the dead. Just: whom would you want to meet? I don’t have an answer. Maybe Moses or Abraham.
