Rabbi, hello, a friend sent me this post on Facebook. I have a lot of thoughts about how to respond to it, but I’d be glad to hear what, in your opinion, is the right way to respond to things like this.

What is the question? I don’t understand Facebook. Formulate the question, and then we can try to think about it.

The post shows a picture of a girl sick with cancer, and it says this: “If I could prevent more than 10,000 Israelis from dying of cancer every year, I would. That’s the difference between me and your God.” Then there are some more details about the illness. And it says, “Either your God is insane, or He doesn’t exist.”
I’m not especially stirred up by posts like these, but I’m really torn about how one ought to respond to them, and that is basically my question.
