What is your opinion of idealism? Do you think this approach is correct? Or does matter really exist in the world? And is not everything merely a creation of consciousness, like the Matrix? If I may also ask, why, if the answer is no?

Answer
It doesn’t sound plausible to me. My intuition tells me that consciousness is affected by something, and does not invent everything out of nothing. I don’t have a better answer: that’s how I feel, and I have no good reason to cast doubt on it. To be doubtful, you need a reason.
