The Rabbi has written several times that, in truth, nothing is absolutely certain; everything lies on a scale of probability.
My question is: is this point itself certain? In other words, is the statement that nothing is certain itself a certain statement? Likewise, is logical entailment itself not completely certain?
Answer
This point too is not certain (though it is very high on the scale of probability).
Logical entailment is certain, but it says nothing at all. It is certain because the conclusion contains no novelty relative to the premises. It is like asking whether deriving a statement from itself is certain.

If this point is not certain, that means it could turn out to be false—and then you would have certainty about other things?
