I don’t have a position, because I haven’t examined it properly. At first glance it seems suspicious to me, and many people more qualified than I am have dealt with it. A committee appointed at the Hebrew University, headed by Uman and Furstenberg (both prominent mathematicians and both religious), concluded that they do not see a convincing calculation here. One thing is clear: I would not recommend that any layman in the field build arguments on this, because the experts are, at the very least, divided in their views on the matter.
