Very often, it really does seem like people take values from our surroundings, and because they are convinced those values are correct, they force an interpretation of the sources so that they fit their own view. Nobody imagines that prostitution is okay, so no one will try to find a way to make the sources fit that. But when it comes to late singlehood, there are proposals like concubinage and wasting seed in the case of an unmarried person.
